The specialist knowledge and advice from other health professionals can make a difference in progressing a patient’s treatment.

Collaborative Working

We are eager to showcase the efficacy of Medical Acupuncture and foster a mutual exchange of knowledge with fellow healthcare professionals, enriching healthcare practices for all involved.

What is Medical Acupuncture

Medical Acupuncture represents a distinguished application of clinically proven Acupuncture techniques, administered by a certified Medical Acupuncturist after a thorough medical evaluation. Esteemed for its safety, this method plays a pivotal role in rectifying bodily imbalances, often integrating seamlessly into holistic wellness strategies alongside other advanced functional or regenerative medical interventions.

In the prestigious realm of UK healthcare, Medical Acupuncturists enjoy a broader spectrum of practice compared to traditional Acupuncturists, leveraging their superior training and tools to diagnose and remedy patient conditions with heightened precision and efficacy.

The Medical Acupuncture Council rigorously upholds standards by verifying the certification of its members, who are mandated to adhere to stringent codes of safe practice and ethical professionalism. Membership prerequisites include comprehensive public liability and indemnity insurance, a commitment to ongoing professional growth, and active participation in the advancement of Medical Acupuncture research and development within the UK.

The ARA reflects all styles of Acupuncture, including both Western and traditional Eastern techniques.
